We need a far more radical approach to gender equality

This whole idea is why I advocate being suspicious of every single movement in favor of any kind of group. Suspicious doesn't mean opposing the reasonable things they do, or not even seeing the potential for good from their activism, it does mean to do accept the premise that they are all good, with all good intentions. And to question how far they should go.

My ideal reaction to movements is for the world to absorb the reasonable things they have to say, reject the rest, and by adopting the reasonable, make them irrelevant, and stop listening to whoever stays and keeps advocating more and more for each group.

Now, why is this great potential for abuse?

Simply play a thought experiment. Have you ever felt wronged? That to get fair would require not just a current level playing field but to get even, and some form of redistributive revenge?

Either way, regardless of your personal experience, there is a whole lot of history of exactly that. And not just on gender and race. As I like to remind people extremist class identity politics aren't somehow pure. In fact they have a lot of blood.

Another part that leads advocacy for X group to lead to not caring for equality other than identifying your group as oppressed, is the very idea that your identity is related to advocating.
