I need help finding anything.

What is your BFA degree in? What kind of jobs are you applying to? What have you been doing the past two years to broaden your skill set?

I don't want to sound like a hard ass, but I think you need to push yourself harder. You live near NYC! There are lots of opportunities for internships and part-time work that will help you get your foot in the door! Like you I graduated with a BFA (in painting nonetheless) last May, and I also live about 40 minutes from NYC. I started working in retail a few weeks after gradation, and from there I got internships and freelance work with fashion corporations. In the meantime I knew I really wanted to do graphic design, so I taught myself all the major design programs and even learned some basic coding. Now I have a job as a junior designer for a creative agency.

Don't just sit back and half-heartedly apply to jobs and go on interviews. It's been two years since you've graduated and you haven't been able to find work since your internship (which I'm guessing was a long time ago). In this kind of job market you kind of have to sell yourself and convince the person interviewing you WHY they should hire you. You should be excited about the jobs you're applying to.

I'm not saying anything is wrong with what you're doing, but at this stage in life I think you really need to evaluate how you can do better in terms of applying and interviewing for jobs. Go on Craigslist, Indeed, and LinkedIn and search for jobs. Start with a part-time job, whether it be retail or admin, and work your way up from there. When you do have a job, focus on what you really want to do with your life so you can take more baby steps to get there.
