Need help (to the tune of $5 dollars) paying for project that aims to publish and maintain a cache of helpful study notes and learning materials online for students preparing for the bar exam in Nigeria.

Just realised that you're the guy who wanted me to post a picture of my "diploma" on reddit earlier to prove I wasn't a scammer. I wonder why anyone would do that but this is to educate you.

For when you want to harrass someone else, In Nigeria, we call it a law degree. An LLB takes 5 years to complete and then the person has to proceed to the Nigerian Law School for a year graduating with a BL.

A simple google search would lead you to articles bemoaning how difficult the bar exams are. Students call it the Almighty Bar. Failure rate is usually very high... sometimes up to 50%. I passed and thought to help others too but that makes me a scammer right?

And the $5 was cos while paypal is available in Nigeria, the CBN effectively blocked Nigerian Naira cards from international transactions in response to the falling Naira. It's a recent move. If I had anticipated it, I would have moved funds into my paypal for times like this.

With my bank card today, no matter how much I have on it.. I can't pay for an app on Google play if I wanted to. Can't pay for a new domain or hosting. Can't buy from eBay or Amazon or Ali express.

What this means is I can spend my money locally but cannot do foreign transactions or any transactions online. I would select to pay with PayPal but since this new policy blocked it from drawing from a Naira account, you'd get a message saying bank declined.

All I could promise was that when the policy was lifted, I'll make sure to help others too.
