Need help with best but card pitches

Make sure you read my entire opinion before assuming where I’m going with this.

I always assume that people have a Best Buy card. For a casual customer it’s a no brainer. I use mine all the time, I get points for using it in the store, but also on gas and groceries because I have the Visa. Here’s some things to try.

“If you use your Best Buy card on this, you’ll get ‘x’ amount of dollars back on your purchase.” It’s a good way to cut through the asking part of your offer and get straight to the benefits.

“Did you know if you use your BBY card you get 0% 12 month financing on this toaster because it’s more than $299? You just pay at least the monthly minimum payment for 12 months and keep some extra money in your pocket today.” Again, cut through the asking and get straight to the benefits.

Never lie about the card. Always be upfront about the interest rate, before you get to a pamphlet. Always make sure the customer realizes they’re running a credit check when applying.
