Need lighthearted, Fun book Suggestions for Hospitalized Adult Patient

Thanks - I thought I had read everything that Crichton wrote, but I'll have my wife look for this one, don't remember it.

My wife and I have been working at COVID test sites/ICU units since March - We wore every piece of protective gear we could get our hands on, and have been tested a couple of times, but we were making a move across country when I became seriously ill. By the time we got to where we were going, I could no longer drive, couldn't breathe, and was having strange hallucinations (kept thinking I saw my cat running around in the car). 48 hours later, I had a collapsed lung. We don't know anyone in the new city we are in, but at least we are at the hospital we both will be working at - nothing like getting to know your new coworkers by having them resuscitate you!
