Even then, wild animals are more cautious around humans, and therefore more predictable. Being wounded is sometimes a death sentence for a wild animal so they will only attack when odds are in their favor, tells or no tells. Wild animals understand the rules of survival and this makes them many times more 'safe' than Mr Pibbles across the street, who only wants to give you 'a kiss'. Pit bulls don't back off nor care about self-preservation, they are over-confident balls of muscle and fur who can be triggered by the first guy who happens to sneeze.
