Your value is made up. You only give value to the shoe because it was hand made. The value is what you're willing to pay based off of the work that one person did.

That value is then added to the price. You pay that price for the PRESTIGE of having handmade shoes. There is no technological benefit to the shoes being handmade. They would be just as good as another being handmade and most machine shoes. The value you're adding is invented value that is reflective off of the person making it, not the shoe itself.

You're arguing with me over something without realizing that what you're saying is supporting my argument.

Your 'real value' doesn't exist in your own comment. Real value would be a tangible and measurable benefit of one product over another. You're using sentimental value as a step in for real value. Sentimental value being the primary driving force behind Prestige Pricing.
