I need to quit now.

I can relate. Your situation sounds similar to mine just a couple months ago.

The thing I’ve come to believe with quitting kratom is that the longer you took it and the more you took, the longer and more involved the process of quittimg. That being said, if you’ve been taking it awhile, 6 months to a year or more, in high amounts, you need to know it’s not going to happen over night. You have some work to do and need to start preparing a plan.

The most important things to do, in my opinion and experience, is to first be honest with yourself about it. Once you do this, the second thing is to meticulously analyze and document your usage. I’m talking about using a scale and literally writing shit down every time you dose. To do this, you need to have an objective, systematic approach to it. You can’t just guess in your head or try to remember it.

The reason for this is because if you are a high dose, long time user- the first step is to get your daily dosage down and stick to it, then lower it again and stick to it.

I’ll share more of my process, observations etc. and how I’ve got down to 1-3 grams most days now, after 20-30 grams every single day for a year, if you are interested and think your situation is similar. The reason I’m writing here, to you, is because the situation you are in and describing sounds similar to mine. While I have not yet completly quit, and feel I still have some hurdles before I’m free and clear, the improvement in quality of life and outlook from when my usage was at its heaviest to now is immense. I literally had to treat it like a full time job though, it’s been tough but worth it.

I think I can help you, or try anyway. I can share what’s helped me make progress anyway, and in a pretty detailed way. It will take me a little while to write out, so I wanted to see if you were interested or not. I’m happy to do it if you’re interested.

Best.
