I need to rant.

I know wtf. Fallout 3 was better by a long shot in my opinion. New vegas you just wandered around a desert with little atmosphere. Like 70% of the game was just literally nothing but brown/grey/red sand and mountains. When you wandered the wastes of Washington it was eerie to see all the monuments/buildings and whatnot blown up and dilapidated. The atmosphere really felt like a post-apocalyptic place, not just some empty desert where the coolest attraction was split up into 3 different loading screens with little to do.

Red-co, your argument doesn't really make sense. New vegas' story telling was garbage. "Benny shot and left me, the courier, for dead and I have to go get my package and deliver it. Oh sweet I killed him and got my package. What's that? The NCR/legion/mr.house want me to ally with them to take over this place? Cool let's do that".

No hate on the story either, I mean 3's story was basically go find your dad, you found him, kill mutants and purify water for the entire population. But you weren't just a mailman sent to deliver a package, only to get wrapped up in a war between 3 (4) different groups. You were this child, born and raised in the vaults, escaped to find your dad only to stumble across a horrible world and died trying to save it.

But still, 3's story (again my opinion) blows vegas out of the water, not to mention the game is actually a challenge. You aren't handed weapons, supplies were hard to come by, and all the extra shit in 3 made it wayyyy better. Tranquility Lane, oasis, mothership zeta, blowing up megaton, killing massive mutants with mini-nukes, liberty prime, the actual brotherhood of steel, more and more. Honestly it's grasping at straws to saw NV had a better story but I disagree entirely.
