I need some advice, and honestly, I don't know where else to seek it

I'm sorry OP. It's not a dump post and you don't need thicker skin. This kind of thing is hurtful in ways people like him don't tend to understand. Your "friend" doesn't sound like a good friend. Try to find better ones, you don't deserve to feel like shit because someone else can't handle being top tier all the time and doesn't want to just enjoy having someone to play with regardless of skill level. Gaming is supposed to be fun, getting told to leave because you're not as good as the rest of the team is NOT fun and not okay to do someone.

Every team or group has a weaker link in something, in your case you're not quite as good at this game. Good friends understand this and either don't play those games with you sometimes if they're in a competitive mood or accept that they're not going to kill it in ranking or score if you're playing and just enjoy hanging with their friends. My few friends know I'm not stellar at FPS games and I'm trash at most fighters but that I am genuinely trying my best - no one gives me real shit over it. Most of them have tried to help me out with tips and tricks to encourage me even and I'm not as garbage as I used to be. On the flip side, I have games I'm great at that friends can struggle in a lot. I always help them out and try to be patient with them because I know how it feels to not be up to par even if I'm not getting ragged on for it. Yeah it can be frustrating to not play at my 100% at times but I'm mostly just really happy to be able to play with someone else who likes what I like even if they or I aren't that great at it. I've spent too long having literally no one to play with that I cherish anyone indulging my interests whether they or I are remotely good at it.

What do you play aside from Warzone? I'd be happy to play some games with you if there's any overlap when I can scrape out time from work and school. I've got PC, Switch, and PSN.
