Secondly, it’s a difficult topic, but as a dude, I can personally say that knowing the new girl I’m dating was sexually assaulted right off the bat isn’t really information I’d feel OK with. Not because I’d think there’s anything wrong with her, but because I’d feel overly cautious and anxious about overstepping even the smallest of boundaries. I think you should definitely let them know you wanna take it slow but wait to drop that bomb until you both trust and understand each other enough.
