Need some advice with render

Don't cut corner in modelling, that's for sure. Think modelling as building that object for REAL, just that you do it in virtual environment. If a piece of drawer door is 150x600mm, then draw that piece exactly that size, and give it proper thickness, usually is 15mm. If it have aluminum trim, then draw the trim as well as a separated group/component - make habit of drawing parts of different material as different group, don't merge everything together. This will make things easier to texture.

ALWAYS refer to real life objects, what is design, size and position of the handle? What is the thickness of aluminum trim? What is the typical gap between each door? What is the gap between the door and counter top? Door with glass insert - what is the framing thickness, what is the thickess of the glass, how is the glass been installed or situated? ................... All these little things of the real thing, should be portrayed in your 3D model to produce good realistic render.

Of course, using realistic textures and accurate color is also important. If you have the material on hand already, such as wood plank, counter top, laminate sheets... go take some picture of them under good lighting condition (as little shadow as possible), and use them as textures.
