Need some reassurance through all of this waiting

I think the most important thing is to remember through this is that cancer isn’t the death sentence that it used to be. It’s true that many still die, but treatments are improving every year and more and more people survive. Back when I was 15-16 I thought for sure I was gone, it did get kinda close at times but I’m still here.

We’ve never had full control of our lives, the only option we’ve ever had is to make the most of whatever time we may have left. Whether or not you have cancer just try to remember to stay positive. It’s easier said than done and it’s definitely a bit cliche, but stressing about things beyond your control just isn’t worth it.
