In need of spiritual advice - feeling conflicted about my beliefs

I posted my interpretation of a formula for better spirituality here:

First of, spirituality is a personal experience and I feel that one is ever wrong, so long as you aren't looking for divine being outside of yourself. After all, all you have control over if your own being. (nothing against theist based religion, but after all we're talking about spirituality).

I'm indecisive too, in fact I'm the most indecisive person I know, so much that it has offered me a life of "going with the flow", which I've been doing since a kid. Fortunately things have gone well. In the context of belief I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, as it allows you to have an open mind. Much like the wind, it takes you wherever you end up.

The star wars "force" was loosely based on eastern philosophy so the idea does have some merit. Just don't hope for learning force choke unless you want ready to believe in Chi gong :P

Just because you don't believe in a divine higher being up there does not have to mean you can't believe there is one within yourself.

Mysticism aside, there are a lot of studies that suggest that we can over come our issues by "believing". Smiling despite being sad is suppose to generate happiness within as chemicals in our brains responsible for happiness are released. So really the realm of your mind is what you make of it, it can be your heaven or your hell.

This is why the buddhist idea of right though, right actions, right speech etc is so popular because our actions defines us. Doing good , and reflecting on it offers a more sustainable way of living than doing bad does.

I used my water notion as a template for seeking my spiritual truth, but perhaps you can use the force.....

Feel the force. Every time someone makes you angry, or you get upset, recall that is the dark side of the force talking. Close your eyes and focus on the light. That is your base line. Every tie you astray just focus on the light. Try even meditating against the sun. It will give you a more pleasant and correlative experience to the light. If I could sum up a word that described my personal view of spirituality , and a word that offers tranquility as well as a guide, I would not use Peace but it would be detachment.
