Don’t pay your landlord anything. Tell them in writing that the damages weren’t caused by you or any of your guests, and that you are not responsible.

Your landlord may deduct it from your security deposit - if this is illegal, which it likely is not an allowed deduction (again, location??) you can take them to small claims court to get your money back.

Unlikely, but your landlord could in theory try to sue you for the cost of the door in small claims court - don’t worry about that it if it does happen basically prepare a defense the same way you would if you were suing your landlord.

Your landlord may choose to not renew your lease when it’s up, if that is allowed based on your location?
