Netflix "I Am a Killer" Season Two

Yeah, facts of the case aside, Linda's prosecutor is sitting here saying her husband was a good man, repeatedly. We know for a fact abusers have very different public and private personas, but he's still defending that "if he was good in public than he just be good at home" good ol boy crap in the episode. Even if she said it in 1984, he basically says she did it intentionally no matter what. I highly doubt he would have believed her then. He even said something to the effect of "if a spouse gets beaten they immediately leave and take the kids and get to safety". Motherfucker really? How many cases do we know of where the husband beats the spouse to death because the spouse was too afraid to leave? To me, this prosecutor is 100% part of the good ol boys club and has zero clue how to empathize with a victim of spousal abuse.
