Netflix has no regrets on spending $6 billion on original content

Every time I think to cancel, I remember the time available to watch t.v. per week for me is small enough to justify the $15. Why pay for basic cable on top of internet when streaming makes valuable television more accessible. I was listening to Joe Rogan's podcast the other day when the topic came up. They talked about how movies are a dying art with the new era of binge-television. Characters have time to develop, plot lines have room to thicken and capture a more realistic tone. Audiences relate to a journey they experience first hand versus a quick half hour persuasion. Just as cringy as watching anything from 2005 and before, finally the doors have opened for a new era. The cookie cutter hollywood that tells the same story with people magazine faces and uncomfortably dream-like reality has been wiped away. It holds no weight after the first view. The glorified writers, directors, actors and actresses who give us the same shit time and time again are now challenged with staying relevant. Its such a better option for artists who now have their work available anytime for anyone. We are seeing a flip on what we expect versus what we accept. Like music, theres so much out there. The same song in different variations is played endlessly, claiming to be a stamp on the time. Its become plastic. The art has been forgotten. Why settle for garbage? Because we are lazy and we want to be told what to like. Life needs variety. People need to make their own decisions. The money invested pays off once people realize they dont have to settle for B.S. because thats whats given. The stage has been set for anyone who can contribute anything of value.
