Netherlands legalizes child euthanasia despite opposition from Christian parties

It's not a hypothetical, every major non-religious disability rights organisation in the USA is opposed to euthanasia, and a big reason why is the long track record of supposed legal safeguards not fucking working, combined with pro-euthanasia activists always seeking to expand the laws once passed.

I'm an atheist and an anarchist. I have no opposition to euthanasia on abstract ethical grounds. But you can't possibly believe that legalising the practice wouldn't have serious harmful effects in our current society by enabling abuses and amplifying systemic problems.

But I guess no one on reddit gives a fuck about vulnerable people getting harmed.
