True but they won't have any qualms doing so. I realized that Chinese people really really over inflate their incomes and spending. For years the world's spending at hotels was based on a system where they'd survey Chinese tourists at hotels around the world during March and April. The methodology was garbage.

It included participants like hostels which I previously owned. Crazy part is that Chinese tourists would claim they'd be spending thousands of USD a day on the survey yet would be eating instant noodles. They would leave no shopping bags behind, and they were obviously far poorer individual travelers than indicated on paper. Meanwhile far poorer travelers from South Korea would leave piles of shopping bags from luxury cosmetic shops which would tell you everything you need to know.
