Never get a knee infection.

Healthcare in the US is crap. And insurance companies are crappier.

Had a vasectomy in the military. Ended up in pretty severe constant pain after that. They wouldn’t help because it was a voluntary procedure.

I get out, and go to the VA and they said I’d have to wait 6+ months. I’m in constant pain and It got worse... in bed, and I can no longer even sit comfortably. I’ve had enough, so I went through my new civilian primary care provider, the surgery to fix the pain is to reverse the vasectomy. Oh, but this is still labeled as voluntary and I have to pay $10,000 just to NOT be in pain. They tried to run it through insurance that this is due to pain, and they still said no. I tried to do a claim, they still said no. So I paid the money so the pain could be gone.

Why should anyone have to deal with easily fixable severe pain because the problem isn’t politically charged enough for them to care? Sure, the original procedure was voluntary, but I guess I was the lucky 1% to have chronic pain because of it.
