I don't think I'm trying to quash criticisms or negative opinions. By all means, if someone wants to criticize TLJ they can do so and this subreddit is an appropriate forum for that.

To give an analogy, the MCU is another huge cultural phenomenon that's hard to avoid. Yet there are people who have absolutely no interest in seeing MCU movies. MCU discussion threads are almost completely devoid of those people even though I'm sure they are being exposed to MCU references constantly. That's what genuine disinterest feels like. If you constantly need to volunteer that you're not interested in something, I'd be wondering what you're really trying to convince me of.
