Never thought I’d argue and get angry with a hiring manager. Got my application rejected within hours obviously….

I know someone who claims to be a recruiter. The extent of her experience is 3 months of campus recruiting several years ago.

She's had mental health and drug issues most of her life and continues to have them. She doesn't have a job and couldn't find one if she tried. Yet she acts like an expert, when she's admitted she's so anxiety-ridden that she can barely leave the house and gets 2 hours of sleep a night.

To this day she continues to give shitty resume/job search advice and does the same with her fake "resume writing" service. She's aggressively dumb and generally gets downvoted to oblivion when she shares her uneducated opinions here and elsewhere.

Point being, there's tons of bad advice out there from complete incompetents. Unfortunately, recruiting tends to attract some of these people as there's no barrier to entry.

Sorry you had this experience, my advice is to move on and understand that you did nothing wrong and some people posing as experts are entirely full of shit.

Best of luck!
