Alcohol just lowers your walls and if there were times when you usually bite your tongue, you'll just say. This sounds bad, but it has always been fun, to me, to lose control and just not worry about keeping your walls up and biting your tongue.

For example:

  • I was wasted in Cork, Ireland, and on the walk down the hallway of the hotel, I log-rolled to my room, stopping the roll at every door to see if that was the room I needed to go to.
  • In college, I had a night where I went out to the bar and was dancing and singing karaoke, but I was bad... really bad. I started to feel like I was going to throw up, so I went outside and puked behind the bar next to some train tracks. Then some guy came up to me and told me he was going to miss me and college and we started making out... this was after I had thrown up earlier.
  • Some guy told me to pretend we were at our wedding and then fed me cake.

And some people don't like that 'out of control' feeling, and that's totally fine.

On occasion, when I'm feeling stressed, or bored, or happy, or celebratory, I have the urge to get drunk, because it means not having to worry or feel the need to control your image/surroundings. At least that's been my experience, anyway. :)
