The new $100 bills

Ok, so you've clearly had someone close to you fuck their life up being a coke addict. Listen mate, recreational drugs aren't summed up by the people who fuck their shit up. People fuck up on every illegal drug out there, but also on prescription meds, alcohol, tobacco and fast food. It's about how you treat substances that depends on your outcome. I have family members who are living proof that they could enjoy a few recreational drugs, binge drink and eat garbage but slow down when they had responsibilities or when they were becoming to regular, they have raised great families.

As for the way the drugs get to the average user, that's a different story entirely. Those people are willingly risking their lives or doing terrible things to produce drugs, which is all due to the illegality of drugs. If shit was legal, then there would be no black market. The individual user is a drop in the ocean of people who buy cocaine, and no matter how much you try, it would be impossible for there not to be. You can say "well yeah, if you stopped buying it, and then everyone did, no one would get hurt". Even if you stopped, got everyone you know to stop and got a petition of thousands of people to stop. There would be just as many users and addicts out there. That's like saying you won't enjoy a burger because the animals are treated badly. Being a vegetarian to try and stop it just won't change anything, because more people are there to take your place. While I respect your choice not to eat meat, your personal effort of not eating meat does nothing to solve the problem.

So you can bash recreational users and addicts, lumped into one or you can open your eyes to the real problem here. Why not let people do what they want with their own bodies, legally and safely, by knowing their drugs are pure. Stop the black market which causes death, violence and vile, homemade drugs.
