New to AB, and at wits end with skin problems. Help!

Hmmm...ok I am familiar with one of those products....Vaseline. Oh and the mint juleps mask I have heard of too.

I hope someone else also using pocketderm comes along because I have no experience with any treatment course and dealing with working them into a routine. So, I don't know what sort of routine or products work best with any side effects you may be experiencing with them (as well as product/ingredient interactions).

If I were to ignore the pocketderm I would suggest an AHA and BHA for the acne. These have helped me tremendously with my acne. AHA is awesome for exfoliating and BHA really gets in your pores and gets all that gunk out. (Currently using Cosrx ones, but people really like the Mizon ones and Paula's Choice). This may be really too much if you're on PD.

Make sure you are getting all your makeup off. If you've never tried use a cleansing oil/balm you might want to give it a shot. I've heard great things about kose, dhc (tried it, liked it), banila, and sum37 cleansing balm (using this now, love it). There's a lot of threads, reviews, etc on AB about this topic.

For PIH I would suggest sunscreen, vitamin C serum (specially C20, simply bc it's what I use and it really works), and sunscreen. Did I mention sunscreen? Seriously, no matter what whitening/lightening treatment you use, if you're not protecting your skin from the sun, it's practice in futility. (Right now I am using biore aqua UV watery essence...mousse one. It's a little too drying thought so I probably will switch out of it).

For the dryness, I love Su:m 37 waterfull lotion. I stopped using this though because I started using their secret programming essence and secret repair line stuff (which I am loving. I think it is actually more moisturizing than the waterfull line, but the waterfull lotion is great for acne prone skin and may be enough for someone with normal/ combo skin (I am combo/dry skin, acne prone).

When I need a little boost I would use a mask or sleep pack. The most hydrating masks I've used are innisfree catechin ampoule mask and the hyaluron from the same line. The Mediheal tea tree masks are great for calming my acne as well as pretty hydrating. I've used the Too Cool for School pumpkin sleeping mask (a lot of reviews on here and people seem to like it a lot) it didn't really do much for me, but I have a pack of samples that I'm trying to use up so I will slather one on if I have nothing else to put on.

I just made a little hada labo haul (got three different lotions from their hyaluron line) so I wish I could suggest them, but I have yet to try them myself! But I think you should give them a shot! (Hi, I'm philotima and I am an enabler...grand-master level enabler).

This ...got long. Hope you find something helpful in here haha
