New AMD video cards to be announced @ E3 - June 16th, 9:00 AM PST (XPOST /r/hardware)

Give AMD a shot. If it makes you feel better I actually have more driver issues with nvidia nowadays and essentially none with AMD cards I've had recently. The whole drivers problem thing is more of a joke and an nvidia fanboy talking point.

Hell, nvidia didn't even roll out actual Kepler driver updates until a few days ago. If you had a Kepler card those updates for the past 4 months have included zero real driver improvements, just support for newer titles. A lot of people think they were intentionally doing that (which I don't how you do not test driver updates for 4 months) bur I'll refrain from making an opinion on that here.

The big draw with the new amd cards is HBM memory, which Is supposed to be far faster than gddr5. If what they are saying is true, just using HBM on their current cards alone would be enough to give them a significant edge as far as performance goes. I've loved my AMD cards much more than nvidia for awhile. My last two cards were high end nvidia and I find myself missing the stability and raw power of my 280x over my current 970. I really am not seeing much improvement over my 780, and if I was using that still I would be having all sorts if driver issues.

Between physx, gsync, gameworks, sli and driver issues, and now the false advertising of the 970, I'm ready to jump ship if amd has better cards. The issue with nvidia is that supporting them means you are supporting their increasingly shitty anticompetitive and anticonsumer (970 and Kepler drivers) practices.

Tl;dr brand loyalty is futile, wait for the cards to come out before you buy something like a 980ti that will probably be a waste with new amd cards coming soon and new nvidia cards coming as well. Also, don't pay attention to the anti amd circlejerk. Both companies make good cards and having a green card doesn't mean you are going to get better performance.
