New American Community Survey estimates: Working from home grew from 5.7% in 2019 to 26.5% in 2021

Pointing out remote workers’ silent raises from not commuting isn’t jealousy, it’s literally what happened. Perhaps you don’t like that being revealed, I don’t know.

I also don’t know why you’re trying to justify your work from home situation to me, because I won’t be making the call that someone like yourself has to come in two days a week. Managers and Executives do that.

But I’m not going to pretend you’ll see any solidarity or support from people who’ve been hybrid or working on-site the whole time, either. I think hybrid is great and I use it sometimes. And personally, that’s what I think it should be. But if you’re going to cry foul over the inconvenience of having to commute, aka that thing you used to do, aka that thing hybrid and on-site workers never stopped doing, well, cry then. Things change. Adapt, like the rest of us.
