it's pretty up in the air tbh...it really depends if the person wants to wait or not. If a person hates the idea of waiting then they really wont mind watching fate zero and getting a part of the movies spoiled for them.

However, 3 or 4 years ago this was an okay way of thinking about it because who really is willing to wait 3 or 4 years to watch something and risk not liking it.

Seeing as youre new to anime you can definitely fill that 1 year wait with so many series so you should be fine.

Just noticed I made a mistake in my post, you should watch it in this order ideally if youre willing to wait for HF:

Fate UBW - Heavens Feel - Fate / Zero

Heavens Feel is probably the hardest to go into fresh...so the knowledge from UBW will be good. However, F/Z spoils something from HF so you are better off watching it last.
