New Anti-Sexual harassment/violence campaign

There is so much nearsightedness in this message it's bordering on parody.

Regardless of the responsibility of the passed out individual, they do not deserve to be victimized. Even from a perspective of it being completely their fault for putting themselves in that situation, it does not change the existence of the second issue - that of the person committing a crime with the passed out individual. Hence this PSA. "If you see a passed out person, don't rape them." People have to be told this, apparently. Even as a selfish "princess" blaming individual you can see it from a self-serving POV, as in, "maybe I shouldn't rape someone I see lying there, because that would be wrong and I might go to jail." Or "Maybe I shouldn't hit send on this photo I got of the underage girl from math class." It baffles me that people like you think a passed out person is fair game. Do you also take their wallets? Or do you check to make sure they passed out of their own fault versus a medical condition before doing so. If she was roofied did she "have it coming"?

And as for the pictures, like I said before, its not always the case that the person in the picture took the picture. They might not have even been awake for the picture. And again, even if you're a completely selfish individual who blames the person in the picture, that doesn't mean your amoral ass isn't going to get charged for possessing and distributing it, again, hence the PSA.

Even from your perspective, you still have a reason to listen to this ad because it's telling you how to protect your own ass. If you won't be a decent human being for the sake of it, then you might have to be forced into being a decent human being by the fear of being prosecuted. "She had it coming" doesn't fly in court.

Societies are about evolving towards a better place. And amorality does not help that. I mean, sure you might be the sort to say "If I get drunk and pass out I deserve to be raped and have my wallet stolen" but all the same, wouldn't you prefer to live in a society where people have been taught to be good to one another? Wouldn't you rather, like the ad says, have someone help you up and help you out? Luckily we are getting there, one changed attitude at a time. So don't be so cynical.
