*New* bundle (single box) owners, let's be real about some shit that has been happening with our rifts.

My last comment only comes from the tight consumer laws my country has. I can take photos to prove a defect within six months of purchase, have my rma approved, and jump up and down on the product if I wanted to. It would be nice to have that sort of rma confidence come from someone who is so die hard about the claimed excellent stock quality on a reddit forum come out and claim it (which they didn't).

I have an rma in the works right now, it's going very smoothly and I will have a downtime of about 2 days with shipping estimates. I'm not even angry about that.

However, saying that the increase in complaints on Rifts is due to bad QC just proves that you haven't thought about it all the way through.

It may be me, or it may be Oculus. Time will tell in the end.

First of all, there is no tech product in the world that has a QC department that can catch every defect resulting in only perfect products being shipped.

I have bought so many pc parts and peripherals over the years, most recently, barring the 7700k, i have never encountered a more hated product than the newly bundled Rift headset (the touch controllers are still ace here btw, no QC lost there).

While many people will have the experience they wanted, many people have no guideline to base their experience on since many also bought their first vr with this bundle. I would hate for people to get fucked over with sub par headsets and not even realizing it.

To add to that, a vast amount of people with previous experience are reporting issues with this mysterious "green noise that looks like an inverted milky way galaxy". Specifically on the right side display. That alone says something no?

It's becoming it's own thing like "sde". That's not okay, especially because previous Rift headsets not in the all-in-one bundle didn't have this issue. That is what leads me to think it's a QC issue.

Second, there was and always will be a fraction of Rifts , Vives, and all other tech products that are defective.

I agree. However, please tell me why this is a fresh new hell for people with the new bundle and not for those who got the the stand alone Rift. Why is is more prevalent with the new bundle? Why do YOU think that is?

As for your last point, I think I somewhat covered that already. I know how fractions and percentages work, I know that all tech companies factor in returns, however, this is a fresh new hell for the consumers, yet Oculus has nothing to say for the new headsets other than the foam (which I can say IS actually an improvement, I like it personally).
