Has the new Chemist Warehouse opened yet?

no actual money, just inventory

Batteries are nice, but have you ever tried to pay for things with batteries? you get funny looks.

"I made the mistake of buying some boxes of "bargain" batteries in the closing down sale. They have all been absolute rubbish, so even if they had remained open for the next 12 years no-one would have bought them twice."

I remember a Dick Smith that sold solar powered fans, LED's, soldering kits etc

Last things I bought from them were a surge protector, wireless keyboard/mouse combo and a few USB flash drives. I also remember them selling 'office capable' computers, at gaming PC prices.

They shouldn't have had trouble remaining profitable....but they'd become a shell of their former self at that point, I haven't noticed any difference except the name of the shop is now 'Harvey Norman'. Same location, same products (if there's a difference, I haven't noticed).
