New England Journal of Medicine has a dedicated page for its open-access articles on COVID19

Unless I am missing something, Ebola, Zika, Covid-19, as well as other similar viruses, are tested using a consumable testing kit. This testing kit is sent to a lab that has the ability to test PCR. These viruses are diagnosed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) which requires specific equipment and training.

So, why do we not have these test kits already in stock, since Obama got 88 million, then 6.2 Billion for Ebola alone? This does not include funds for Zika and other recent events.

I am not trying to blame Obama. Although, I am very interested in what our Government did or did not do concerning this subject.

Do not confuse what I am saying with a Portable Diagnostic Kit, which does not exist, but could, at a high cost. I am talking about simple consumable testing kits.
