Have that classified thing like take a look at kijiji that's crazy traffic. Plus they have job ads there. Those do really well.. in a few days you'll have hundreds of views. Should be able to add comments to even job ads, heh-heh. So there you go, you'd be chopping away at the kijiji. This is what you want.. you want to chop away at these sites traffic.
Like take a look at the plentyoffish free dating site. Before there was this lavalife but you'd have to pay and when pof came along, it beat it. But it sucks over there, you post your profile and that's it. Should have like a city wall and discussion groups so the women can get to know more about your personality. And if it'd be a mix of facebook where they could checkout your friends and stuff and find out more how much of a creep you are. Yeah so in that better social network you'd have all these components.
When I go to add friends, don't be limiting me. Like I can understand you gotta control the spam and the bots. You want real people on the other end. Maybe have something like where you can send a dozen requests a day.
I want the freedom of speech. Let the police and the laws be the limits of what I can and cannot say. Not some uptight bi*ch who doesn't like things I say and clicks a report button and then the couple years I spent adding friends all vanishes. If its against the law, have the cops notified. There's your report button.. it goes to a real cop.
What else we got here.. yeah on myspace used to be able to have animated gifs. But people flew off the handle and well that's not allowed on facebook. I used to make animated gifs and had fun.. well none of that over at facebook. Maybe figure something out so pages don't take years to load. I dunno. maybe have it so you can click on it then it'll be animated.
Things are just kind of as I think of them. Yeah the facebook home page feed and them limiting things to only people you interacted recently even though everybody's friends. scrap that you idiots.. let the firehose go and I'll decide what's cool. They also closed down being able to get mail from people who aren't friends, it goes in this 'other' pile now and sometimes I want to say hi to people I knew but don't want to add them.. well not allowed cause they just don't hear you any more.

what else was there. yeah in facebook I'd get these invites or crap in my inbox and its like listen if its not you personally writing just me I don't want to hear about your spam, practically. now sounds like they buried it in the 'other' messages. well nobody checks that and people who used to send it gave up.. so dead there. maybe have another section where if I want to check that sort of stuff out I'd click there. There's so many hidden options in the facebook settings, blonde chicks have no clue how things look like to others and what all the stuff means. Quit hiding stuff and make things simple so a dumb blonde can even handle it. like maybe that's why they like twitter. even that's kind of complicated. Perhaps have a dumb blonde button to show them how things go in simple terms ok. the way facebook is with settings buried all over the place. jeez.. and sometimes you got these people who want to do things behind other people's backs so they got settings of stuff you don't want others to see and omg.. just gets too complicated. if you don't got the balls to tell everybody stuff straight to their face maybe whatever you're doing behind people's backs 'll come back to bite you in the ass. I dunno maybe have some kind of option where you post something maybe you don't want grandma seeing it but you know, you might still want grandma as friends. I dunno.
Just trying to think of things that suck and how a better social network might improve upon things. They got this video option, like myspace tried it.. and facebook tried it but nobody really used it. You got the youtube there.. but that's more of the uptight people can click things and it gets removed. How about the cops decide what should be removed, ok. so even youtube is too uptight. If you want to do some 18+ adult stuff.. well have some kind of button before and you'd have to click it that way grandma doesn't accidentally click it. You want to be able to take a chunk out of that adult realm thing too. yep.. have that in there as well. I dunno tom, u figure it out. heh-heh.. but no you still want to keep it so its respectful like how facebook is and not sleezy.. but you want that chunk of traffic. I dunno.. that's an iffy one.

so yeah facebook was succesful because of the school networks that got it going. Then the job network thing. where you knew if you'd see they're in the microsoft network, that they had to get back from a microsoft.com email and yeah that they had to work there. So there's the credibility factor. Same thing with the school eh. There's that linked in thing where you'd have the business people. Checkout what they're doing there and what's on those pages and want to steal that chunk of traffic so this all in one social network, it'd be like what's going on at linked in.. whatever they got there you'd have that going on as part of your all in one social network. Ya get it.. so all these components that make these sites successful you'd have that going on. And the things that suck or are too restrictive well there ya go too. I just want a site that's not uptight and can meet new people.. cant do that at facebook. Ya guys get where I'm going at here.. it'd be like a super social networking site. And no, tom.. you cant do it cause your brand's fu**ed.. and no google cant do it cause they're brand's ruined.. plus whoever else that's already doing it they couldn't do it because they'd be way too uptight and people would click report and your profile would go poof.
so there ya go, a fun social network where you don't get spammed too much and it loads fast and don't have to go to any other site for other stuff. well, maybe to google to look stuff up or wikipedia to look things up. but even youtube that's too uptight and restrictive so could take a chunk outta them but videos gotta load as fast as the network they got. and yes I forgot about the music. I want to discover new bands from around town. maybe that could be a section of the city discussion group.. you'd have a new bands section and you could post stuff.. and hey I want to go checkout a new band.. but yeah if you want to go to another city you'd go there so even lesser known bands wouldn't get lost in too much of a shuffle because it'd just be that city. Then you'd have a mega one where it'd be the top 10 bands from each city. oh yeah tom.. I'm getting excited.. ok go ask uncle rupie if he's interested. heh-heh.. ;-)
lol.. not going to keep rambling on but there's a couple things I forgot. yeah you'd have chat rooms in the city sections where there's the discussion groups. so whoever's online you'd go in the room.. cant have too many people in a room cause it flys off the handle too fast. so you'd have to like limit it to maybe 100 or something. gotta have that chat room thing.
