Is New Frontier worth it?

You didn't ask me, but I'll tell you what I think if you don't mind. It had a tendency to drop plot points and character arcs at random, and seems rather cold. Examples:

  • Luke started out as a big brother sort to Clementine. Then Kenny arrived, and he quickly became a much more minor character. He still had a role, though, as being the person to disagree with Kenny the most... until Jane arrived, and took that role away. All of this resulted in Luke having no purpose.
  • Nick. I'd argue he is one of the most interesting members of the Cabin group, and perhaps the only one with a character arc starting with the loss of his uncle. But then he dies at the end of the second episode, or is rendered unimportant due to his determinant status.
  • Carver. The big bad of the season. The cabin group fears him! He even makes comparisons between himself and Clem- oh wait he's dead. Carver likewise has a relationship with the Cabin group, but all of this is brushed aside to allow Kenny to be his nemesis.
  • Sarah, as the "liability" character, was bound to be hated by many. Like Ben. Unlike Ben, who the writers treated with empathy, she died unceremoniously shortly after Carlos died... once again, in the middle of her character arc.

As a whole, Kenny and maybe Jane appear to be the only ones treated with consistency. Even Clementine is often brushed aside in order to focus on how Kenny and Jane about things... and if you don't like them, it doesn't work. Kenny was also such an odd choice to make the major "feels" character of S2, considering that he was a rather divisive for players of the first season.
