New Merritt Hawkins salary data…midlevels getting the huge pay bumps while physician salaries decline

It doesn’t remove the headache of declining insurance reimbursements. They’ll take care of it, but then you just spend more out of pocket to pay for them to do it. If you participate with insurance networks you have to do credentialing which is a pain in the ass and document a certain way to get reimbursed. There’s literally no reason to do it when it’s so incredibly easy to set up a practice and just not take insurance and give super bills your panel will fill up fast. It’s also stupid to go pay money for billing to get paid less than you would if you just set your own market rates and don’t rely on insurance companies to set them for you. Idk what your obsession is with working with them is, but if you like then great. I’ll just go make more money with less headache without them… lol
