So far Cetaphil moisturizer (spf 20; toner) and the Biore sunscreen both made me break out. The Cetaphil moisturizer made me break out into a rash and exacerbated the fungal acne which is weird because the gentle daily cleanser is great.

I’ve been fighting acne my entire life; the fungal acne about 3 years now. I saw a dermatologist 2 years ago who said it was folliculitis and to use Cetaphil or Dial antibacterial soap on my face and gave me some antibiotics that didn’t do anything. Dial didn’t do anything but my skin seems to like the Cetaphil gentle daily cleanser. I’m going to the dermatologist again in a few months (the soonest I could get) but does anyone have any advice for me? My mental state is in shambles.

I’ve been researching the sidebar for years. I am also currently using sulfur ointment and anti dandruff shampoo to fight the fungal. It’s only on my jawline.

I used the cetaphil moisturizer and anti dandruff shampoo (nizoral I think) beginning of the week and broke out into a bad rash idk which did it but I think it was the moisturizer...but now I have a rash on my chest. I just don’t know man. Could have been the nizoral I used it again this morning gonna see if the rash gets worse.

Please help me.

Edit: also apparently coconut oil or any oil feeds fungal acne and I’ve been using coconut oil as a moisturizer for the past 3 years.
