NEW OR NEED HELP? Ask here! - ScA Daily Help Thread Sep 30, 2019

I have a three-part question about whiteheads.

  1. How do I prevent them?
  2. If I get one, how best do I treat it to make it go away quickly?
  3. How do I heal the spot as quickly as possible after it's gone down?

Sulfur doesn't do much on an emerging one. Once it comes to a head, I lance it and put on a hydrocolloid. I'll wear a hydrocolloid for 4-5 nights afterwards, but it is still bright red and takes forever to heal, and usually leaves a scar that lasts for months. LRP Baume B5 and TO azelaic do nothing to reduce redness or speed up healing. My whiteheads are the type that gets a hard 'seed' inside, and if I don't extract it, it scars even worse and never goes away.

AM routine: Kikumasamune High Moist, Melano CC, Hada Labo gel cream, Canmake Mermaid UV sunscreen

PM: LRP Toleraine gentle cleanser, Kikumasamune, Cerave in the tub, TO Squalane, LRP Baume B5 or CosRX Rice Mask + every other day I do an acid (TO Azelaic, TO Salicylic, or TO Mandelic)

I'm just so sick of this cycle of finally healing the scar from one whitehead, only to get three more.
