I(19M) figured some ways to deal with my hormonal acne via supplementation(zinc+copper and boron seems to work kind of, also avoiding unfermented and low fat dairy, soy, alcohol, and sugar, eating more fish) but I still have mild persistent acne that I want to get rid of before dealing with my pores, scars and hyperpigmentation. I tried leaving BP 2.5 and 5% on overnight when I was 16 but it made me red, my pores were wider and my acne was actually worse. I'm trying contact therapy BP with 5% now and I'm not red, but my acne has gotten worse and my pores seem to be bigger. How long should I keep at it before giving up on it completely? Also what else should I try after that? Tretinoin, adapalene, salicylic acid and any kind of moisturizer(all moisturizers break me out) don't work for me, and accutane and antibiotics are out of the question because of health concerns.
