New to plant based diet. In need of grocery shopping tips and recipes please?

I'm worried mostly about my husband's diabetes, and my weight (but! BUTBUTBUT!!! I lost 2.7 kilograms already it's been 2 months holyshit!)

I don't think I would personally freak out over 1/8 of an avocado if that's all that it would take. Avocados have fiber in them to "break up" (my words and probably not very good but that is how I explain it to myself) the fat so it is different from ingesting oil or cream anyway. The creaminess of the soup looks so inviting I can't wait for the weather to cool off so I can try some of these. Thank you for sharing this.
