Bud, I've got $1K in Browning trails cams set up throughout the Tillamook Forest - 2 along the Little South Fork Kilchis River, 1 up on Sawtooth Ridge and 1 about a half-mile down the ridgeline of Cedar Butte. I get into serious woods about twice a month and spend literally WEEKS in the forest throughout the year. I live in Hillsboro, so I make semi-regular nighttime trips up the Cedar Butte loop (going in at Jones Creek Rd, coming out at Cedar Butte Rd) when there's not snow at the top. It's a two hour loop I take in my truck, which is equipped with a 42-inch light bar and dash cam. I also have a full time job and a family. My 10 year thinks it's fun, so in addition to the "seldom-seen actual clear-minded scientific SEARCH" you mention, I also do some silly things... like put B1GFUT
