New player: 20% off adventure packs or save TP?

Imho, the most worthwhile packs to get are (sorted by importance): 1- Vale of Twilight 2- Gianthold, Vault of Night 3- Necro4, Demon Sands

All of these are easy to find groups to run with, due to high XP, good rewards or a combination of both. However, you don't need to get them all. Since you're not on a multi/fast-TR train, you can easily level a character from 1-20 with little to no repetition just by getting 1 or 2 of these packs and mix them with the quests you already own from your xpack purchases.

The only one I would buy no matter what would be Vale - it would fit your current toon's needs nicely, high variety in terms of quest mechanics and an amazing loot system that would be useful even after you TR. Plus it's going to be revamped/epified soon. GH and VoH have great value, and I'd get them too unless they seemed boring to you. Necro4 and Sands are useful, I might get them unless they seemed fun and/or had some item(s) that you really wanted. They're not nearly as essential as the other three.

With this in mind, if I were in your situation, buying an adventure pack bundle, it would be along these lines: --- Essential/Utility: [2550 * 0.8 = 2040 TP] - [850 -> 680] Vale Of Twilight - [950 -> 760] Gianthold - [750 -> 600] Vault of Night

From here, whatever you get is "optional", so I think it's way more important to pick the packs that are FUN to you (even though it ill be harder to find groups for those quests). The trick is finding out beforehand what you like most about the game, and which type of quests you enjoy the most (comparing the ones you played with the reviews/videos of the ones from the packs you might purchase).

For example, I'm a casual player who likes non-combat challenges (puzzles, riddles, mazes, etc), innovative quest mechanics and good storytelling. My favourite quests from the packs you have are: - [F2P] Proof is In the Poison, The Pit, Delirium - [Carnival] A Small Problem, Partycrashers - [IQ] I Dream Of Jeets

Based on MY tastes (yours might be different!), I'd try to get SOME of these (one or two for now, all of them as a long term plan if I stick around, not during this sale) --- Fun/Personal: [2945 * 0.8 = 2356 TP] - [450 -> 360] Red Fens - [695 -> 556] Three Barrel Cove - [450 -> 360] Sentinels of Stormreach - [450 -> 360] Harbinger of Madness - [450 -> 360] Reign of Madness - [450 -> 360] Heart of Madness

Regarding the other topics raised during the discussion: - If you are playing on a budget, I'd skip buying hearts of wood entirely. Playing is fun, and you can get your hearts by playing :) - Unless you intend on playing multiple alt characters and pass a lot of BtA items between them, I believe the cost of the shared bank is too high for you, packs are more valuable at this point; - While DA can speed up getting tokens for TR, you can still get them easily without that pack. The F2P LoD chain, the Snitch from the Carnival Pack (which you already have) and some of the VoN quests (especially VoN3) are regularly run, and are also a good source of tokens.
