New players will no longer be able to download Fall Guys on Steam once it becomes F2P on June 21st as it becomes exclusive to the Epic Games Store then

No for one because valve themselves developed alyx just like epic developed unreal tournament and fortnite, and 2 because they offer services that obviously get people to use their storefront over the competition. Epic killed goodwill immediately with the exclusivity of "3rd" party games and actively taking those games away from users not just on steam but every other storefront as well.

But they're not truly 3rd party. Epic is taking on a portion of the development costs, by giving the devs a lump sum, in exchange for only listing the game on their platform.

Gog built their niche off of drm free games which is an actually attractive feature that steam doesn't have, epic has nothing to offer to interest users so they just throw fortnite money at devs to ditch other stores and hope it sticks eventually. It's a bad business practice that just takes choice away from the gamers which is a net negative as a whole. This isn't even getting into the debate over them being partially owned by tencent and their obligations to the ccp which actively denies its people basic human rights and is one of the few countries that have internment camps in the 21st century. So easy choice who I'd rather give money to there on top.

Spoiler, most of Epic's money comes from unreal engine, not Fortnite, but go off, Fortnite bad I guess. Tencent has a stake, but Tim Sweeney is still the majority shareholder, so he is in control of all decisions.

And actually, epic does offer something. Developers having more money to develop games, since epic let's them keep 18% more of each sale. Not to mention, they give better deals for developers using the unreal engine. What does steam do with that cut? Maybe make platform improvements. What can the developers do? Put more into giving you more game.
