A new poll shows what really interests 'pro-lifers': controlling women

Have you ever been pregnant? It is not easy on your body. Most women have significant long term changes to their body that they don't love. And I'm not talking about stretch marks and 5 lbs of weight. Having a hard time holding in pee is common. Ab muscles never closing back together is common. Hemorrhaging to the point of hysterectomy happens and the woman who was raped now can never have her own kids later. Being sick with vomiting and nausea for months is normal. Being out of breath because there's no room for your lungs is normal.

Most mothers don't love talking about this with people who aren't mothers but pregnancy is physically demanding for most and physically a nightmare for many. Some have it easier. You don't know which you'll be until you're in it.

I know if won't change your mind but giving pregnant rape victims "economic and psychological support before adoption" doesn't even come close to making their life the way it was before the rape. You're not just asking them to be pregnant without their consent for a few months and then everything goes back to normal.
