Here's what she had to say in s telegram post about deciding to use Neblio Blockchain for the project instead of a rival platform.
We started off this project called freedomoptions.io using ETH testnet. Along the way we stumbled upon some challenges mostly JS related. We have one dev that is verse in front-end applications but the remaining core is back-end heavy. Having the JS interaction with solidity presented some hurdles and challenges as you can see from the UI of our alpha version on ETH. Along the way, we saw a Facebook Ad for Neblio. We took a deeper look and weren't convinced at first and took a look into NEO as well.
Our ultimate deciding factor for Neblio was not the suite of languages because really we were primarily focused on JS at this end and NEO could do that too. What we observed though was that the opcodes and API calls were structured in such a way that we could transition from ETH to NEBL fairly straight forward so we did that. Our concern came when we found that the RPC commands for exchange listing was missing and we have an agreement in principle with an exchange but after a formal e-mail to the Neblio team with a response from the founder we opt for the complete move as Tachyon had solved that issue including the Native token block explorer issue.
Neblio is more suitable than both NEO and ETH for varying reasons for this project but primarily Tangle will be completely decentralized with no controlling entity. The use case requires there to be a fast block time, UI interface integration and modification through JS, API calls for the reporter and dispute features not just to the blockchain but to external parties, parity checks, and defined procedures all of these requirements are fullfilled by Neblio. It isn't a like for like comparison with Ethereum either. In it's current incarnation Neblio is more suitable for projects that are democratized and require RAD.
