L1 + Right Analog stick = Zoom/mouse wheel L1 + Left/right D-pad = scroll through alliance list R3 = Sheath Weapon

Disable your inactive cross hot bars (ones you have no skills on) so when you quickly switch them by R1 you only go through how many you use (I would recommend 2) instead of all 8

Set up cross hot bars and extended hot bars for easy access to 32 more buttons.

share a cross hot bar between all your classes/jobs (this is where I put way marks/mounts etc.) but make it hidden so you can't easily access it by pushing R1.  
For instance i have mine on hot bar 3 and no matter what I am on, hot bar 3 is the same but the only way to get to that hot bar is to manually get to it buy holding R1 down and selecting 3.

If you are a healer (possibly helpful for other people) and you need to heal someone but have no clue where they are look for there name on the party list than lock on to them with R3, and that will automatically fix your camera on them and show you where they are.
