Converted this tank over to brackish (1.005) about a month ago. The otos came from a LFS employee that had them in a brackish setup and apparently they do alright as long as you don’t want reef like levels of salinity. A few of the plants struggled a bit but I’ve been running a reduced fertilizer regiment since I’ve been in and out of town a lot recently. The val has taken off since I started adding salt.

The puffers are figure 8’s from a LFS that was nice enough to hold them for a couple weeks while I got everything ready. Drip acclimated and moved them in to the dark tank this morning. They were picking at rocks and hunting so I figured I’d feed them and snap a few pics. They are voracious! Definitely pushing me towards getting another puffer for my big tank.
