New Report: Countering China's Belt and Road

Is the United States willing to help third world countries build infrastructure? This requires investment of money and technology Can the U.S. do it?

Are you trying to make the argument that when people like me object to what China is doing with its Belt and Road initiative, we're hypocritically applying one standard for when the United States facilitates infrastructure development in other countries and another for China?

There's latitude for reasonable discussion as to the similarities and differences between the United States' (or the World Bank, IMF, etc.) efforts to facilitate sustainable development and what is happening in China, at multiple levels of analysis.

But beginning that discussion with "what a bunch of hypocrites!" is not the way to start.
