New Report Says Sydney Could Run Out Of Water By May 2022

Undoubtably each situation and location is unique. However, the situation and location i have just described certainly does have water ready to be converted to drinking water. At the moment a vast majority of table water here is either going to waste or being or being used for minng purposes.I have seen hydrogeology maps of the area and witnessed first hand megalitres going unused.

The surrounding areas in this vast arid enviroment of western australia have a great deal of underground water to tap into and desalinate. But with populations ranging from 50-5000 its not at this point viable to set up desalintion plants. Cities literally have no excuse for not building massive desalination plants. It is the fresh water of the future, the sooner it is implemented the better off we all are. Obviously before any desalination plant was set up a full enviromental impact analysis would/should take place
