New and scared

Don't be scared, you're gonna do great! When I first saw the injections tutorial I almost passed out too lol. I was really nervous. Here are some tips to help. I iced my injection site before and after so it barely stung. I did it like this: ice, alcohol swab, shot, alcohol swab, ice. A little bit of arnica gel to help the occasional bruising and I was fine. I was really scared too but once I started doing them myself, I got over it. There are also video tutorials I can PM to you, or you can hire a nurse to come and do your shots if you're still to nervous to do it on your own. It's expensive but I know people who have done it and liked it.

The thing that put my mind most at ease was being organized. I had a chart that listed my daily shots, so I checked each one off as I did them to help me keep track. I had a dedicated counter space and I used weewee pads to lay out all my stuff on (needles, alcohol swabs, sharps container, etc). The businesslike nature of it helped keep me from freaking myself out.

If you'd like, I can send you my chart and calendar too, and you can customize it to your liking! I legit had a little slim 3 ring binder to keep track of my meds, appt calendar, payments and test results, all indexed and everything. My inner nerd was very pleased. My nurses went wild over it lol.
