The new school bullies aren’t children – they’re parents

I had a student year 9 with adhd. For two days a week he shared a teachers aid

The teachers aid was really good with him (one of the best I have seen) kept him on track and engaged.

Come my science class the adhd student is engaged and working well, another student trys to provoke a reaction.

The teachers aid politely tells him off and return to his own work.

At which point the second student starts abusing the teachers aid. At which point I arrive and send the kid outside to a time out desk. (The desk is in view from the front of the classroom but they can't see the other student's)

At which point he starts yelling that the teachers aid is a "fucking old bitch" and as I am walking him out the door he pushed/threw a punch at me to get back inside.

His mother's response when I called her up to organise his in school suspension and explain the rules of that suspension.

Was to yell abuse at me and tell me it did not happen and that her son had told her the true story.

Told me the teachers aid should harden the fuck up or get out of the classroom.

She also wanted the teachers aid not to be in her son's classroom as she was a distraction.

After about 15min on the phone I passed it on to my supervisor.

End result

The second child served a 10 day in school suspension and removed from all school excursions for another 5 weeks and had to sit at the front of my class away from his mates for the remainder of the year.

With a bonus very angry mum who refused to talk to me. School report and interview was done by the dad who was much more reasonable.
